Plain-language summary: These terms govern your use of DAGRISOL (farm management) and DAGRICON (contractor marketplace). By creating an account you agree to them. The most important points: we charge a monthly subscription for the software only — payment for contracting work is arranged directly between the farmer and the contractor, never through us. Keep your account details honest, rate fairly, and don't misuse the platforms. You can cancel any time; see section 6 for pricing and refunds.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account on DAGRISOL or DAGRICON, or by using any part of the Platforms, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you may not use the Platforms.

These Terms apply to all users, whether accessing as a farmer, contractor, or both. Where the Platforms offer different features to different user types, those specific provisions are noted below.

2. The Platforms

DAGRISOL is a farm management platform that helps farmers track operations, animals, equipment, staff, jobs, and weather data in one place.

DAGRICON is a contractor marketplace that connects farmers with agricultural service providers including spraying, harvesting, ploughing, transport, and other farm services.

Both Platforms are operated by DAGRISOL (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2024/404633/07, a company registered in the Republic of South Africa, with its registered address at 20 Rule Street, Kroonstad, Free State, 9499. You can reach us at support@dagrisol.co.za. We act as a technology platform and are not a party to any agreement between farmers and contractors — we facilitate the connection.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

  • You must be at least 18 years old to register.
  • Each person may hold one account per platform role. Operating multiple accounts to manipulate ratings or gain unfair advantage is prohibited.
  • You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

4. Farmer-Specific Terms

As a farmer on DAGRICON, you agree to:

  • Post accurate job descriptions, including farm location, required equipment, and scope of work.
  • Communicate promptly with contractors who respond to your postings.
  • Pay the agreed amount on time once work is completed satisfactorily.
  • Provide contractors with safe and reasonable access to your property.
  • Rate contractors honestly after each completed job.

DAGRICON may suspend your account if contractors repeatedly report payment failures or unreasonable access conditions.

5. Contractor-Specific Terms

As a contractor on DAGRICON, you agree to:

  • Represent your services, equipment, certifications, and availability accurately in your profile.
  • Respond to job enquiries within the timeframe stated in your profile.
  • Complete agreed work to a professional standard and within the agreed timeframe.
  • Hold all licences and certifications legally required for the services you offer (e.g., pesticide application certificates, roadworthy vehicles).
  • Carry adequate insurance for your equipment and operations.
  • Rate farmers honestly after each completed job.

We may request proof of certification or insurance at any time. Failure to provide it may result in suspension.

6. Payments, Subscriptions and Refunds

We never handle payment for contracting work. The price for a job is agreed directly between the farmer and the contractor and is settled directly between them, off the Platforms. DAGRISOL does not hold, receive, split, escrow or release those funds, takes no commission on them, and is not a party to that transaction. Taxes on contractor income are the contractor's own responsibility; we do not provide tax advice.

The only money we collect is our own subscription fee, paid by the subscriber to DAGRISOL (Pty) Ltd through our payment provider. We never see or store your card details.

What it costs

DAGRISOL (farm management). Every new farm starts with a 2-month free trial of the Pro plan — no payment details required. After that, monthly plans in South African Rand:

  • Starter — R150/month: farm & field mapping, jobs, schedule, weather and rainfall.
  • Standard — R300/month: everything in Starter, plus worker accounts and PINs, messages, worker reports, livestock groups and equipment.
  • Pro — R500/month: everything in Standard, plus the worker time clock, individual animal records and per-field crop history.

DAGRICON (contractor marketplace). Browsing jobs is free. A subscription is required to express interest in a job: R300, R500 or R750 per month, differing by how widely a contractor can search for work. There is no free trial on DAGRICON.

Prices are per month and do not currently include VAT (DAGRISOL (Pty) Ltd is not presently VAT-registered; these Terms will be updated if that changes). We may change prices with reasonable advance notice.

Cancellation and refunds

Subscriptions are month-to-month with no lock-in and renew automatically until cancelled.

  • You may cancel at any time from within the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you have already paid for, and no further charge is made.
  • We do not give pro-rata refunds for a partly used month, except where we have charged you in error, or where a refund is required under the Consumer Protection Act. Nothing here limits your rights under that Act.
  • If you move to a cheaper plan, the change takes effect at the end of the month already paid for.
  • Your records are never held hostage. If a subscription lapses or you move down a plan, features above your plan become view-only — your data stays visible and is not deleted, and you may request an export at any time.

7. Ratings and Reviews

After each completed job, both the farmer and contractor are invited to rate each other. Ratings must be:

  • Based on your own first-hand experience with that transaction
  • Honest, fair, and not motivated by personal disputes unrelated to the job
  • Free of defamatory, discriminatory, or abusive language

We reserve the right to remove ratings that violate these requirements. Attempts to manipulate ratings (including asking third parties to post fake reviews, or threatening negative ratings to extract concessions) will result in account suspension.

8. User Content

You retain ownership of content you post (photos, descriptions, messages). By posting it, you grant DAGRISOL a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and distribute it as part of operating the Platforms. We will not sell your content to third parties.

You are solely responsible for the content you post. Content must not infringe third-party rights, be misleading, or violate any applicable law.

9. Prohibited Conduct

The following are prohibited on both Platforms:

  • Providing false information in profiles, job postings, or ratings
  • Using the Platforms to facilitate illegal transactions
  • Harassment, threats, or discriminatory conduct toward other users
  • Scraping, reverse-engineering, or attempting to access non-public parts of the Platforms
  • Creating accounts for users who have been banned

10. Limitation of Liability

DAGRISOL is a technology platform facilitating connections between independent parties. We do not control the quality of agricultural services rendered, the condition of farms, or the conduct of users.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DAGRISOL's total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or use of the Platforms is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or R1,000 — whichever is greater.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including crop damage, equipment damage, or lost profits.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we are required to by law. We will give reasonable notice before termination except in cases of serious misconduct.

On termination, your right to use the Platforms ceases immediately. We retain data as described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Dispute Resolution

Because payment for contracting work is agreed and settled directly between the farmer and the contractor, any dispute about the work or its price is between those parties — we hold no funds and are not a party to it. We encourage you to resolve such disputes directly. On the Platforms we provide ratings and reviews, investigate reported misconduct, and may suspend or remove accounts; our decision on platform-level matters (such as fraudulent ratings or account suspension) is final. Billing and subscription disputes are handled by us at support@dagrisol.co.za under section 6.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any legal proceedings must be brought in the courts of South Africa.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
